As of the second week of October, Ukraine has harvested almost 52.5 million tons of the new crop.
Grain and legume crops were collected from an area of 7,737.9 thousand hectares with a yield of 46.0 quintals per hectare, resulting in a total of 35,597.3 thousand tons of grain, including:
- Wheat was harvested from 4,694.5 thousand hectares (yield: 47.3 quintals per hectare), producing 22,210.9 thousand tons.
- Barley was harvested from 1,504.5 thousand hectares (yield: 39.0 quintals per hectare), resulting in 5,863 thousand tons.
- Corn was harvested from 884.4 thousand hectares (yield: 66.1 quintals per hectare), with a total of 5,846.6 thousand tons.
- Peas were harvested from 154.4 thousand hectares (yield: 25.7 quintals per hectare), producing 396.8 thousand tons.
- Buckwheat was harvested from 127.7 thousand hectares (yield: 14.8 quintals per hectare), resulting in 188.8 thousand tons.
- Millet was harvested from 72 thousand hectares (yield: 22.6 quintals per hectare), with a total of 162.4 thousand tons.
- Other grains and legumes covered 300.5 thousand hectares, with a yield of 929 thousand tons.
Oilseed crops were harvested from an area of 6,761 thousand hectares, yielding a total of 16,883 thousand tons, including:
- Sunflower was harvested from 3,898.5 thousand hectares (yield: 23.2 quintals per hectare), producing 9,042 thousand tons of seeds.
- Rapeseed was harvested from 1,396 thousand hectares (yield: approximately 28.7 quintals per hectare), resulting in 4,005 thousand tons of seeds.
- Soybeans were harvested from 1,466 thousand hectares (yield: 25.8 quintals per hectare), with a total of 3,776 thousand tons.
The sugar beet harvest is ongoing, with 96.4 thousand hectares harvested, yielding 4,602 thousand tons of sweet roots at a rate of 477.4 quintals per hectare. The highest sugar beet yield was reported in Vinnytsia region, with 1,479.8 thousand tons.
