The export of agricultural products by road transport during the period from October 1 to October 23 amounted to 398,000 tons, compared to 392,000 tons and 372,000 tons in September and August, respectively

It is noted that the average daily passage rate of vehicles carrying agricultural products for export through customs checkpoints in October was as follows: across the border with Poland – 6071 tons/day (~242 vehicles); with Romania – 4252 tons/day (~170 vehicles); with Hungary – 2878 tons/day (~115 vehicles); with Slovakia – 1343 tons/day (~54 vehicles); with Moldova – 2795 tons/day (~111 vehicles).

“The highest throughput capacity is at the ‘Porubne-Siret’ checkpoint with customs clearance departments No. 1 and No. 2 of the ‘Vadul-Siret’ customs post. This checkpoint processed almost 72,000 tons of agricultural cargo for export by road transport in October. Next in quantity are the ‘Chop-Zahony’ checkpoint and the ‘Tisa’ customs post, through which approximately 66,000 tons of agricultural exports by road transport were processed,” noted the experts.

The rates for automotive freight have increased towards Italy, while towards Bulgaria and Germany, they have slightly decreased due to lower demand for truck transportation.
